ReAct is made up of a partnership between Melanie Thaw and Lucy Foxell.

During the past ten years they have worked together in schools all over London with adults and young people of all ages, developing their methods of using drama therapeutically.

Lucy Foxell (PG Dip)
- HPC State registered Drama Therapist, Badth (British Association of Drama Therapists)
Lucy trained as an actress at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After working as an actress for twenty years, Lucy re-trained at Roehampton University (2001-2005) as a drama therapist. Since then, Lucy has practised individual and group drama therapy, in a wide range of settings, including education and mental health. Lucy specialises in working with children and young people with emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties. With ongoing training, Lucy maintains knowledge of current theory and practice for delivering Drama Therapy to pupils in primary and secondary schools, both in mainstream and special schools. Lucy has effective communication skills to facilitate good relationships with parents, pupils and staff.

Melanie Thaw (RADA Dip)
Melanie trained at RADA and worked for eighteen years as a professional actress in film, stage and television. While working as a principal with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Melanie took part in workshops for an educational programme for schools, and was inspired to follow a career in working with children in theatre and education. Since 2003 Melanie has been teaching, facilitating and directing drama with young people of all ages. She is an experienced drama therapy co-facilitator.

"I love Drama Therapy. I don't want Lucy and Mel to go.
I want to do another 6 weeks." Aaron, Aged 11
